Yesterday we decided to go to breakfast at the Freedom Square dinner. Since it was late in the morning I had breakfast and Dee had lunch. While there we saw two people we knew (a Bogmeister and also someone from our church). It's nice seeing people we know out in the community.
Afterward we went and bought some rug mats for under the kitchenette rug (which we have to return because they were the wrong size.) And we bought some energy efficient bulbs (also being returned because Dee didn't like them. They were "soft white" but the lower wattage ones were a strange color and the ones that match what we were replacing seemed brighter. Dee doesn't like bright. Maybe a different brand would work better. We also got some window film that's supposed to block out the UV rays and help with keeping the cold out and heat in during the winter. I'll try applying it today and we'll see if it works.
We stopped at Walmart to get some things and on the way out we saw that a senior citizen had fallen while trying to get on a small bus. She was being cared for by the bus driver I think and there was a large pool of blood by the person's head and on the hands of the person attending to her. Sad.
At home I continued teaching myself "Excel" and trying out different types of worksheets. It's coming along okay. Still lots more to learn. We stayed home (It was really cold ou.) and watched a couple of shows we'd recorded (Burn Notice and Psyche) and hadn't seen yet. Tonight we head to Seven Springs for the "gourmet getaway." We'll leave Bonz with a neighbor who likes to care for dogs.
